Our New Addition

So, I changed my background to represent the newest member of our family. Does it look boyish? I'm having a hard time with the whole blue thing... not quite used to that yet. Yes, we are having a boy. The girls are thrilled. Andrew is really indifferent to the whole thing. I think eventually he will be excited, but for now it's just another baby. :) As for me- I really thought it was a girl. I felt a little let down by the whole thing. Actually, if you want the truth- I burst into tears when she told us. It's not what I expected and it will take some time to get used to the idea. It means I have a lot to do to get ready and I really hadn't anticipated that. After spending six years with only girls, I have NO idea what I am getting myself into and I have NOTHING that will work for a boy, so I have some shopping to do. I had a friend tell me that I must have at least onesies or something that would work for a boy. Seriously, unless he wants to wear white onesies with pink or purple flowers on them, I really am starting from scratch. This will be interesting. I don't even know how to shop for boy stuff... I guess I'll figure it out.

Congratulations! I'm so excited for you! Good luck with all the preparation. Cute boys clothes are hard to find- especially as they get older. Hopefully your girls excitement will rub off on you.

I get the not know what to do with them, but at least you had brothers. That is something to work from. It's also the perfect excuse to have a baby shower. :) He will be adorable. Little boys are so much fun. Seriously, they are. They are so sweet to their moms. I really am excited for you!

Now Cori, you're far too worried about this. I know fatigue has got you down but you are going to be fantastic with a boy, and like Andrew said, he is just a baby. You are great with babies, and he'll be your baby so it will be even better. This is just what you needed (I realize not wanted) but what you needed to shake up this pregnancy and throw some spice into the household. If you're too tired and too laden with children to go out shopping try hitting the sales online, most of the time you can get free shipping or getting it sent to the store for free. This baby is clearly trying to exert some independence so that he's not forgotten or just counted as another Hench girl- I like him already!

YEAH!!! I'm so excited you're having a boy. Boys are so fun....I realize I have nothing to compare them to but they are fun. I already can't wait to meet the little Hench boy. You really are going to have to start from scratch. I'll have to let you know when I find good sales. How EXCITING!!

That's exciting! Just think, it was meant to be! That will be fun for Andrew. I'm sure he will love having a boy to pass his name on. Hopefully, I can make it down, go to the old ward and see you!

Yay! A boy! When Anna was pregnant with her second her ward threw her a baby shower and gave her all of their hand-me-downs and she loved it. In fact, she moved right after that shower while still pregnant and the ward threw her a shower as well and she asked for the same thing. She said it was the best way to get stuff...I thought it was a clever idea. Way to pay it forward since those baby clothes sometimes barely get used. Anyway, I'm so excited for you! Your famiy is so cute.

Cori Congratulations!!! This will be a fun change from the usual for you guys. All though I am sure its difficult when your so used to one thing to get into another mind set. You will be great with a boy and just think he will have an additional three mommies :). I will go through my stuff from Jacob and will gladly send stuff your way. You will find that boys (by the time they are 4ish on) are REALLY RUFF on their pants especially jeans!

Congrats Cori! You will love a boy! Believe me, after your 3 girls you will really love a boy! Boys are much easier in SO many ways. And I seriously think the baby boy clothes just keep getting cuter! They were not this cute when I had Pierson. Happy Shopping! Is anyone doing a shower for you?

Congratulations! I am so excited for you. A boy will be so much fun. I definitely don't mind you stalking my blog because I have done the same to yours :). Seattle in June sounds fun. Living in Detroit might make it a little difficult to make the Seattle race. I actually might try to go to Seattle in April when the Tigers play the Mariners. Seattle is one city I have never been to but have always wanted to go.

Congratulations! We are so excited for your family! I felt the same way when we found out #3 was a boy after 2 girls. It really is easier to adjust than you think and I love the spirit Evan brings to our family. Plus, the bonding between Kurt and Evan is amazing. I love to see them spend time together "hard working" (as Evan calls it). Evan just LOVES to be daddy's helper (and I know Kurt loves it just as much!) They are buddies - it is so cute!

Congrats again! Love, Jennifer (Kurt and family, too!)

Yeah! I'm really excited for you to have a boy. When I had the boys first I was worried that I would never get my girl, but then she came along. So I'm glad you are finally getting your boy. Don't worry, you will know what to do with him when he gets there. Have fun shopping. The good thing is you won't be tempted to buy as much as you are with the girl stuff.

We are having boys together!!! Yea!! I've already done some end of the season/clearence shopping for my little guy, and have a had a blast. Ball caps, little brown loafers, cute overall outfits, and not to mention the oh so adorable little man suits :)!!! Your girls are going to love their baby brother!

CONGRATS!! That is awesome. Boys are so much less dramatic, and they are lots of fun too. You are going to love it!!

Wow! A boy? I wouldn't know what to do with one either!!! Although, I have to say BJ would be on cloud nine. I think it's funny that Andrew is indifferent. I'm sure that will change when he gets closer to being born. :) Good luck with all the preparations!!
