I can hardly believe how quickly time flies when you are too busy to think about it. We had a great Thanksgiving- My sister, Siri, and her family were here, along with her in-laws. They all came to our house for dinner. It was a lot of fun- mostly because I got a chance to spend time with a small piece of my family... that doesn't happen very often. Siri and I were the only ones NOT at my parents house this year, so it was great that we could be together. We had way too much food, of course. When you grow up in a family of twelve people, it's really hard to cook for small groups. I actually still have leftovers in my fridge that probably need to see the trash can. We had pie for breakfast- a family tradition that my kids love. When else can you eat chocolate pie with whipped cream in the morning and have it be acceptable? All in all, it was a great holiday. Now, I just have to find the time to get my Christmas decorations up; I've kind of been putting it off, much to my girls' disappointment. Eventually I'll get around to it, when I have some energy....

I remember that year I went to your parents house for Thanksgiving, and the pie for breakfast. :) I like that tradition, maybe I'll pick that one up for next year.
We used to do waffles with ice cream on top for new year's day, but I think the pie idea really has merit.
